Learn Weightlifting Beginners Course

Learn Olympic Weightlifting on SWC 8-week course. Taking you from the basic positions in session 1, to putting some weight on the bar and testing what you're capable of in week 8. The coaching staff will create a safe and supportive environment for you to understand the technical and strength requirements, give you the tools to learn, and encourage you to progress towards greatness.

The course comes with 8 formal coached sessions, 2x open gym sessions per week to practice, an information pack which including the course material and example open gym workouts.

8-Week Technique

Improvers Course

The course is for you if any of these are applicable:

  • You have performed the Snatch and Clean&Jerk lifts previously and want to improve your technique.

  • You are training for functional fitness and have highlighted weightlifting as a weakness

  • You want to focus for 8 weeks working on your technique and strength to work to a new PB

  • You have a learning style that favours some self-discovery and some coach-led sessions​​

Strength Training Basics

The course is for you if any of these are applicable:

  • You want to get into some strength training but you have never picked up weights before

  • You have lifted weights before but you want to learn some more exercises and how to structure sessions

  • You want to join a group of like-minded people focusing on getting stronger

  • You want to get into Olympic Weightlifting but think it is too big of a jump from your current strength level
